Parenting the Spectrum

Experience the confidence, peace and joy that has been missing from your parenting journey.

All parents deserve access to the knowledge and support they need to feel confident and capable of meeting the needs of their children.

Hey Mama, you made it.

I'm so glad you are here. The information on this page is meant for you.

If you are anything like the moms I work with you would do anything for your kids and you are used to giving until there is nothing left. You may also feel like no matter how much you give it's just not enough.

The demands of parenting a neurodivergent child can be overwhelming, exhausting, and frustrating. You just want to help them embrace their differences, learn new skills, manage their emotions, and enjoy life a little.

But it's a struggle, and you are tired, physically, and mentally drained. All you want is some peace and calm, a little cooperation, some ease, maybe even a little joy.

You may feel guilty or ashamed at not knowing how to help your child or for not enjoying them, but you are just exhausted.

Maybe you've read all the books, seen counselor after counselor, tried ABA or medication, and aren't seeing results OR maybe you're trying to avoid that whole experience for you and your child and are looking for another way.

You are not alone.

Breathe mama, there is a better way. One that aligns with your values and your view of your child as a whole human worthy of love and respect.

But how? You ask.

By learning, growing, and stretching ourselves.

By surrounding ourselves with information that challenges our conditioned beliefs about what we think our child or our parenting should be. By owning our fears and desires.

By challenging the way we are and the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the kind of parenting experience we believe is possible.

By feeling deeply, and learning how to recognize and move through emotion, and find safety in our bodies so that we can support our child to grow emotionally and intellectually.

By first gaining the skills ourselves, so we can model for and respond to our children with attunement, empathy, confidence, clarity, clear communication, and creativity.

By allowing ourselves to be witnessed, seen, and understood by parents who are walking the same path we are and know the deepest fears and desires of our hearts because they have them too.

I get it.

Parenting a special needs child takes us to our edge. It forces us into places that we resist.

It challenges us in ways that enrage us, creates deep resentments toward our child(ren), partner(s), and motherhood in general.

It is also enriching and purifying. It's baptism by fire. But it doesn't have to be this hard or this painful.

So where do you go from here?

Join Parenting the Spectrum!

Parenting the Spectrum is a 12-week program devoted to parents like you, who are seeking guidance through your most challenging parenting moments with your neurodiverse child(ren).

We will cover the ins and outs of Empowered Parenting, providing you with a concrete framework you can work into your daily parenting journey.

The intention of this course is to arm parents with the information they need to make grounded and informed decisions that align with YOU and your unique child, plus give you the tools you need to thrive through conflict and big emotions, and the confidence you need to integrate the tools you're learning.

The physiology of Parenting is the cutting edge of understanding our internal world as parents, and the internal world of our children. With understanding, comes calm. With information, comes internal safety. We must know the ins and outs of our nervous system so we can support our children’s budding nervous system. We believe this information is intuitive and defies science...or language...yet we utilize both to meet ourselves where we are at in this day and age.

Week 12: Your Personal Transformation

Let's look back and discuss how you have grown through this process!

Here's what other moms are saying...

Working with Casey has been life-changing. I found myself stuck as a mom trying to control so much with my kids and I was exhausted. I came to her convinced the issue was something I needed to fix in my kids. Casey gently guided me to see the beliefs and patterns holding me back from getting the results I wanted and then supported me to change the way my home operates and feels. I wish every mom could have the experience Casey gives in truly hearing me, empathizing with me and lovingly showing me what I couldn't see on my own so that with my new awareness I could make the shifts I so desperately wanted. I feel connected to myself, I understand what is happening in me and my children and I know what to do to feel connected to my children without the need to control. What Casey is helping me do for me is having a huge impact on my children and my interactions with them. I've been skeptical for a long time that a program for moms could help my kids. Casey will make you a believer.

Jessica W.

Mom of 4

It was a fulfilling and emotional experience.  Some of the emotions popped up unexpectedly but brought things to light that I wasn’t realizing triggered me that way. Casey is easy to talk to and great with coaching you or helping you to dig deeper. I am so much more aware of the things I need to feel nourished in every aspect of my life. I never even thought of things, people, and how they nourish me. So this is huge! Parenting from a more forgiving perspective. We will have good days and bad days, as will our kids, we will all try again tomorrow to show up better. Being able to acknowledge that parenting is difficult for everyone and we are all doing our best and we all know what’s best for our children.

Mindy A.

Mom of 1

Casey has a deep passion for helping moms break the patterns that keep us from meeting our children where they are, and holds a vision for your most compassionate self. She knows that every mom is doing her best in a world that doesn't support moms nearly as much as it should, and that we all want our children to grow up to be happy, kind, and healthy. She has the patience of a saint and lives her gentle and positive parenting values with her own kids. In working with Casey I was able to make a very powerful shift during our second call. I would highly recommend her as a coach for moms who are overcoming parenting struggles or medical separations from their children, who are trying to use a positive parenting style.

Hi, I'm Casey

I am a thrice certified coach (WPCC, ICF, Jai Institute for Parenting) and Brainspotting practitioner who helps moms of neurodivergent children confidently meet the needs of their children and themselves so that they can experience the peace and joy they long for, and finally, enjoy motherhood.

Just as importantly, I am a mom of 2 beautiful children. One neurodivergent and the other currently undiagnosed. I am also a survivor of Guillian Barre Syndrome (GBS) and know firsthand how the pressures and demands of motherhood and parenting a special needs child can rob you of enjoying your kids, and your sanity if you let it!

I'm on a mission to create a network of support for parents of neurodivergent children that allows them to have access to a holistic approach to treating and overcoming the unique challenges they face all while supporting them to nurture and support their children to become the amazing humans they were born to be.
